Packing & Moving

Tuesday, May 31st we packed a moving truck & our mini van with all of our belongings. We then headed from Minnesota to Iowa to store what we wouldn't be bringing to Pennsylvania at my(Courtney's) parent's house. Thursday, June 2nd we started the drive to Bethel Park, PA. We drove from Calamus, IA to Dayton, OH. It was a 7 1/2 hour drive and we only stopped twice before arriving at our hotel for the night. On the 3rd we drove the remaining 4 hours from Dayton, OH to Bethel Park, PA. Jacobi was a great traveler...he only had one melt-down the entire trip!

Below you can see a progression of the packing/moving process. We are thankful to be settled into our new home and will post pictures if it soon.

spending time with family & friends before our big move...

Jacobi and mommy went to Iowa to spend time with grandmas, grandpas, aunts, uncles and cousins before our big move. We were sad to leave daddy for a few days but he had to stay home to finish up his classes.

We were able to have supper at Pizza Corner in Valley City with our friends Kirk & Jenn Thorson and their 3 children. Jude is their newest addition and was just 1 month old in this picture.

The School Year Comes to an End

It is hard to believe that we are approaching our 3rd wedding anniversary!

On June 28, 2008 we were married and after a honeymoon in Gatlinburg, Tennessee we made our home in the men's dorm at the Association Free Lutheran Bible School. Adam worked as the men's resident head and school's athletic director in order to support our family as he completed three years of classroom work at the seminary. Now after three years we are making our home in Bethel Park, Pennsylvania as Adam completes a year-long internship at Ruthfred Lutheran Church.

The men's dorm apartment was perfect for our little family of two but once Jacobi came along it was feeling a bit cramped. We are so thankful for the beautiful parsonage that the Ruthfred congregation is letting us call home for the next year. Once we get everything settled I will post some pictures of our new home.
