to Valley City, ND (daddy's hometown)

Jacobi was a great traveler. We weren't sure what to expect since he hasn't been the biggest fan of his carseat. But, he slept the whole way to Valley City! Mommy & daddy were so proud(and thankful;)!
Saturday morning we went to the Valley City high school to watch uncle Josh play basketball with his 8th grade team. That afternoon Jacobi was able to meet his Grandpa Greg for the first time! He proved to enjoy Grandpa more than others this weekend and even gave him a few smiles:)...he just started smiling the week before our trip. Saturday evening we enjoyed supper (made by Grandma Pat) with our family, and friends Jeannie & Duane joined us too. Grandma Pat made a surprise birthday cake for mommy's 27th birthday so we celebrated with cake & ice cream! After the celebration we did our best to get an updated family picture...thanks Jeannie! Sunday afternoon we headed back home, but not before Jacobi decided to make a mess! We did our best to change his clothes without getting "the mess" all over the rest of his body so we cut off his onesie(sorry grandma Linda...this was one of our favorite outfits too) since it was one of the last times he would be able to wear it anyway since he is growing like a weed and now in 6 month clothes at 7 weeks!
