A trip to Gettysburg...

While Grandma Pat & Aunt Ali were here we  took a trip to Gettysburg.  We stayed for two nights and saw as much of the battlefield as we could.

On top of one of the towers overlooking the battlefield

A cannon ball made a whole in this barn...it is the dark spot that you see just below and to the left of the diamond on the right.

Ready to watch a movie about the battle of Gettysburg at the Gettysburg National Park Visitors Center.

Grandma Pat & Aunt Ali came to visit...

Carrots...

Here you will see Jacobi's first taste of carrots.  Mommy didn't have them pureed as well as he would have liked so the texture was a bit of a shock for him.  The next day he tried them again after mommy had given them a whirl in the blender and he gobbled them up!

Some of mommy's family came to visit...

Here we introduced grandma Dodie & grandpa Jeff to Gus & Yiayia's ice ball stand.  This stand has been "on the north side since your dad was a lad".

Here we are standing in line at the best ice cream shop in town...Brusters!

Everyone agreed it was a pretty tasty treat!

On August 1st, Jacobi got to go to his first major league baseball game...Cubs vs. Pirates.  Thanks to grandma Dodie & grandpa Jeff we all matched in our blue Cubs shirts:)

Jacobi was a trooper the whole night.  It was nice that we had access to an air conditioned room so he took a little snooze on mommy and then....
was ready to join everyone in the stands again:)
